Aubrey's Song Foundation for Eating Disorders is seeking an Executive Director to continue its mission to raise awareness of eating disorders, promote positive body image and prevention, provide community and professional education, provide support and guidance to families and patients in need of treatment resources, and develop local treatment options. The executive director brings leadership skills, passion, nonprofit experience and fundraising experience to this executive director position. This individual works with the Board to develop a strategic plan and maintain the day to day operations and programmatic services of Aubrey’s Song Foundation. Aubrey’s Song Foundation, Inc. Executive Director Job Description Job Title: Executive Director Location: Owensboro, KY Hours: Part-time, 20-25 hrs/wk (Must be flexible for slow times and busy times) Job Purpose: The executive director works with the Board and volunteers to develop a strategic plan and maintain the operation of Aubrey’s Song Foundation in pursuit of its mission to raise awareness of the prevalence of eating disorders by increasing understanding, providing education, endorsing treatment, and promoting prevention. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Administrative/Operational: ● Maintain a record of Foundation activities ● Work with our CPA to ensure compliance with legal regulations, especially those of the Internal Revenue Service and the Kentucky Revenue Cabinet ● Work with QuickBooks and our treasurer to make sure monthly financials are ready for each board meeting. ● Run social media and other marketing campaigns (provide timely updates to website and other promotional campaigns) ● Create Foundation Executive Director board reports ● Track donations and donors ● Create and maintain Foundation Donor list ● Work with Treasurer to develop budget and track expenditures ● Perform cost/benefit analysis outlining return on investment of different Foundation activities Community Involvement: ● Build strategic partnerships throughout the community with other nonprofits, businesses, treatment providers and individuals to find mutually beneficial treatment resources ● Maintain presence within the general and health community via networking Board/Volunteer Management: Recruit and train volunteers, as needed for special projects, fundraising, educational and/or awareness events. ● Work quickly and independently to address the board volunteer needs ● Direct and coordinate volunteers and board members, in partnership with board president ● Work with board members on recruiting and orienting high-quality board volunteers ● Setup retention strategy to motivate and reward high-quality board members and volunteers ● Facilitate the development of the operating strategic plan, whenever an update is needed Programming (Education, Advocacy & Referrals): ● Implement the operating strategic plan as developed by the board. ● Develop eating disorder educational and awareness programming o Expand existing programming of school educational presentations, community and professional presentations, and other community events o Work to develop new programming content and partnerships o Coordinate and give presentations ● Proactively provide recommendations and best practices to improve service Advocacy & Referrals: · Create/Upkeep a notebook/database of local, regional, and national treatment resources for eating disorders with as current up-to-date information on intake, requirements, etc. as possible for the best client referrals. · Work one on one with providers/clients/patients/families who call seeking information about our services, information on resources for treatment, etc. o Encourage providers, if possible, to have their patients/clients connect with us directly. o Collect client data for confidential impact reporting in grant and mission statements. o Create case log on each client/patient we serve/provide resource information on treatment options. o Follow up all calls with emails and additional resource information. o Follow up with clients 7-10 days after initial call to assess success of referrals or the need for additional support/referrals. o Develop connections/relationships with clients to make them feel supported and less alone. o Encourage other available support services such as caregiver support groups, patient recovery groups, etc. Fund Development/Fundraising: ● Participate in event planning and work in partnership with the board in fund development for the financial sustainability of the organization. ● Identify, lead and submit grant applications, as appropriate ● Increase incoming funds o Set up in collaboration with the board new fundraising events/campaigns o Solicit monetary donations and in-kind services o Analyze data related to overall performance of fundraising efforts including donor retention and acquisition, appeal effectiveness, and accordingly modify strategy ● Set up retention strategy to motivate and reward high-quality donors Other duties, as needed. Desired/Preferred skills and/or experience : Computer skills including Microsoft Office 365/apps database management QuickBooks, etc. nonprofit management fund development/fundraising coordination board management networking/collaboration strategic planning and implementation program management, communication and negotiation skills, social work background preferred but not required.
