Management Responsibilities: § Schedule and assign jobs to service writers and technicians. Monitor progress to ensure timely completion of work. § Manage and coordinate with parts department to acquire parts needed to complete jobs § Increase technician efficiency through performance monitoring, coaching, and process improvement. § Process warranty claims. § Increase revenue through proper billing procedures, upselling opportunities, and overall effective management of processes through oversight of service writers. § Ensure technicians, yard crew, boat detailers and parts specialists are using safe work techniques. § Require and enforce that work areas are neat, clean, and orderly. § Schedule and monitor technician training, as necessary. § Assist General Manager with projects and process improvements as needed. § Other duties as assigned. Customer Care Responsibilities: § Manage the repair orders process by ensuring communication with customers in a professional manner to gather all information necessary to create an accurate repair order § Manage and sell services that are applicable to the type of boat and customer’s needs. § Provide customers with a schedule of work, updates, and any changes that may occur. § Manage communication with customers on transportation of their boat. § Review and finalize all work orders. Qualifications: · A minimum of 3 years marine service manager experience, preferred. · Excellent customer service and phone skills. · Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. · Critical thinking skills. · Marine parts and services knowledge, necessary. · Intermediate computer skills. · Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. · Strong organizational skills and detail oriented. · Experience with Lightspeed EVO, preferred. · Previous experience using SpeedyDock is a plus. · Ability to work in a team environment. · Ability to be a strong leader.
