Rockbridge and Bath County and the Cities of Lexington and Buena Vista ROCKBRIDGE AREA COMMUNITY SERVICES RACS is currently seeking a motivated, qualified individual to work in our coverage area of Rockbridge and Bath County, and the Cities of Lexington and Buena Vista. RACS will provide training, supervision, and education opportunities specific to the position. We have been providing services throughout Rockbridge and Bath counties and the cities of Lexington and Buena Vista since 1982. Position Overview: The Therapeutic Day Treatment Clinician is responsible for the direct implementation of behavioral interventions, therapeutic activities, psychoeducational treatment, and care coordination duties for children that are enrolled in the school-based and summer TDT Program. Children and adolescents who are enrolled in TDT have a mental, behavioral, or emotional illness that results in significant functional impairments in major life activities. These direct services are provided two or more hours per day individually or in groups of children and adolescents. These services are provided in the school setting and summer-based program setting when school is closed for summer break. The TDT Clinician's main duties may include, but are not limited to: case management, case documentation, consultation, education, providing behavioral interventions, and engaging in psychotherapeutic activities. Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in a human service-related field from an accredited school required. Zero to One year of clinical experience working with children/adolescents in a mental health setting required. Must be eligible to register with the Virginia Board of Health Professions as a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Child (QMHP-C) or Qualified Mental Health Professional Trainee as receiving supervised training and complete the required 1,500 hours of experience.
