Telaka Health is seeking a motived and qualified medical insurance verification specialist with at least 2 years of billing experience for our Indiana, Georgia and Kentucky offices. We provide Psychiatric and Neurological services. Responsibilities: Using Practice Fusion EMR and AdvancedMD billing software Responsible for all aspects of follow up and collections, including making telephone calls, accessing payer websites. Identify issues or trending and provide suggestions for resolution. Initiate timely and proactive communication to payers to identify deficiencies and provide appropriate feedback to operational staff in order to resolve and prevent issues. Accurately posts insurance and patient activity in the electronic medical records system using both auto-posting and manual posting. Understands that all functions need to be done accurately to maintain correct patient history Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel Additional duties as needed Requirements: High School Degree Required, Associates Degree Preferred 2 years Prior medical billing experience required EMR and billing software experience required AdvancedMD experience preferred Medical coding experience preferred Indiana insurance knowledge required Kentucky insurance knowledge preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour Benefits: Flexible schedule Paid time off Weekly day range: Monday to Friday No weekends Experience: Insurance verification: 2 years (Preferred) Medical billing: 2 years (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: Owensboro, KY: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
