The position is a P/T Houseperson Position with alternate positions performed when needed within Housekeeping Department. *** Our Team is Located at: Homewood Suites - Greenville @ Carolina Point 102 Carolina Parkway Greenville, SC 29607 Our property is a Hilton Branded extended stay property and we are looking for Outstanding personalities who want to be a part of a Focused Challenging Team environment. Pre-Requisites (Requirements): - 1+ years of experience in a branded, quality hotel preferred - High School diploma or equivalent of same -Must display professionalism and have characteristics of honesty and trustworthiness - Must have excellent attendance and punctuality - Must have previous Supervisor experience in a hotel - Must have reliable transportation Major Areas of Accountability Meets and exceeds guest and associate expectations by providing service and teamwork Provides value added service to guests by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed guest expectations Communicates effectively with guests, co-workers, and upper management Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed Handles difficult situations effectively Meets service standards Performs other duties as required to provide service and teamwork Houseperson - 2 Days per week Principle Responsibilities & Position Purpose: To maintain the hotel’s facilities in excellent condition by performing all necessary janitorial services to the hotel's grounds, parking lot, public areas, guestrooms, hallways, stairways, etc. Assist room attendants ensuring cleanliness standards are met. Assist maintenance department with minor repairs and work orders. Understands and implements the mission statement, values, and culture at all time. Keeps immediate Supervisor & AGM promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position. Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company associates to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate. At all times projects a favorable image of the hotel and company to the public Pre-Requisites (Requirements): - 2+ years of experience in a branded, quality hotel preferred - High School diploma or equivalent of same -Must display professionalism and have characteristics of honesty and trustworthiness - Must have excellent attendance and punctuality - Must have reliable transportation Work Environment & Context: -Must be able to perform major life activities: standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating. -Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, and reach -Long hours sometimes required. Work schedule varies and may include occasionally working on Holidays, weekends, and evenings -Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift and/or carry 30 pounds Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledgeable in: Proper procedures for handling supplies, cleaning chemicals etc. Sanitation of supplies, guestrooms, public areas. Hotel cleaning procedures Safety and security measures. Report or correct any hazardous conditions observed immediately. Skills: Basic maintenance repairs, leaking faucet, running toilet, etc. Maintain guest privacy. Follow cleaning procedures in the company systematic fashion. Assist with guest issues, being professional and maintaining a hospitable caring attitude. Abilities: Multi task, detail oriented, remain service centric Must be able to work alone. Comply to all standards. Communicate with guests and co-workers in a friendly and helpful professional manner. Work as a team member Essential Functions: 1. Maintains hotel grounds/curb appeal in accordance with hotel standards 2. Maintains the parking lot/ramp including all pavement, lighting, stairs, elevators landings 3. Insures safety and maximum security 4.Assist in maintaining areas of the hotel in a clean and orderly condition, (ex. associate lounge and locker room, public areas, stairwells, and back of the house area). 5. Cleans and maintains pool and spa, handling all pool chemicals in a safe manner 6. Assists the guestroom team-members as needed such as stocking room attendant carts, replensshing storage rooms with supplies, picking up trash from parking lot and grass areas 7. Respond to guest requests such as delivering supplies and inquiries immediately. 8. Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures. 9. Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance 10. Other duties as assigned, of which the associate is capable of performing.
