Job Type: Full-Time Role Overview: The Assistant Director of Nursing at Kendal at Lexington assists the Director of Nursing in managing the nursing operations in the Skilled and Assisted-Living facilities. This role involves supporting the DON in clinical leadership, regulatory compliance, staff management, and quality assurance activities. Key Responsibilities: Support Clinical Leadership: Assist the DON in overseeing nursing care quality and practices. Compliance Assistance: Help ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and standards. Staff Development: Assist in the training, supervision, and evaluation of nursing staff. Quality Improvement: Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement programs. Infection Control: Act as an Infection Preventionist as needed, contributing to infection control policies and practices. Policy Implementation: Assist in the development and enforcement of nursing policies and procedures. Emergency Response: Act as a key responder in case of emergencies, coordinating with the DON and other staff. Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license in Virginia Bachelor's degree in nursing; additional certification in healthcare management is a plus. Minimum of 3 years' experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably in a long-term care or assisted living setting. Strong understanding of nursing and medical procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations. Effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
