Bonus potential Primary Objective: Grocery Managers are responsible for managing department inventory, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, and other operational processes. They must follow the sales and production planning standards and achieve budgetary goals. They will plan, order, and process grocery products to maximize sales and gross profit. Grocery Managers will ensure all new department associates receive proper training and supervision and will ensure correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise and building of displays. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Focus on customer satisfaction and needs, ensure that associates provide customers with superior customer service. Train, develop, and manage job performance of store associates, with assistance of other management personnel. Motivate others to perform the job and work towards common objectives. Communicate sales goals, department performance and sales opportunities with staff to ensure positive results. Support Store Manager with development and direction in the execution of strategies to improve product placement and appearance. Monitor display accuracy and appearance to implement promotions. Ensure that products are properly displayed and ordered in a manner to maintain in-stock conditions. Manage issues relating to store maintenance, cleanliness, safety and sanitation. Prioritize, plan, and coordinate work activities, and manage time and resources so that work objectives are met. Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies and procedures, including check cashing, security, safety, sanitation, wage and hour, etc. Maintain positive working relationships with all associates, supervisors, suppliers, and customers effectively handling complex or difficult situations involving others. Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 3 years' experience in grocery store operations preferred.
