Nurse Practitioner (NP) Provides the leadership necessary so the values expressed in the mission and standards of NAGC are integrated into daily operations. Maintains an organizational perspective at all times and works to develop systems that support organizational initiatives. Assumes 24-hour responsibility and accountability for the supervision and management of personnel and material resources necessary to maintain optimal functioning of the unit. Responsibilities include compliance with existing laws and regulatory agencies, supervision and support of department staff, interdepartmental as well as intra-departmental coordination, development and management of departmental budget, oversight of adequate supplies and equipment, supervision ensuring a clean and safe environment and allocation and balances resources with workload. Works collaboratively to develop the Performance Improvement Plan for the unit and models and encourages data-driven decision-making. Works collaboratively with the management team to maximize efficiencies, minimize duplication, and ensure continuity of all processes in accordance with the dialysis facility’s policies, procedures, and standards to provide comprehensive and safe patient care. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS & CERTIFICATION Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited college/university Current ( state ) RN license Master of Science in Nursing - NP or Doctor of Nursing Practice from an accredited college/university Current ( state ) Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license Current national APRN certification from an accredited certified body Other (Specify): Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) preferred. EXPERIENCE At least one year of experience in clinical nursing and an additional six months experience in providing nursing care to patients on maintenance dialysis.
