Overview: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. GENERAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: · Assistance with therapeutic interventions to rehabilitate: Functional skills; Adaptation, socialization, relational, and coping skills Self-management of symptoms; Daily and community living skills Behavior and anger management skills · Staff to consumer ratio takes into consideration evening and weekend hours, needs of special populations, and geographical areas to be served. · Therapeutic mentoring that directly increases the acquisition of skills needed to accomplish the goals of the IPOC. · Psychoeducation and training of family, unpaid caregivers, and others who have a legitimate role in addressing the needs identified in the consumer’s IPOC. · Direct preventive and therapeutic interventions that will assist with skill building. · Relapse prevention and disease management strategies. · Ongoing symptom monitoring and management · Ongoing medication monitoring, with report to medical providers. · Service coordination activities within the established IPOC. · Input into the modifications of the IPOC. Demonstrates an understanding of client rights and confidentiality and ensures these rights are protected Completes documentation as required. Records accurate and informative notes which reflect treatment goals. · Communicate effectively with other treatment team staff. 24/7/365 Crisis response Education/Experience/Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, early childhood education, child development, or a related field; Or bachelor’s degree in another field and has a minimum of 45 documented training hours related to child development and children’s mental health issues and treatment . Must have at least one year of documented experience with the MH/SUD population.
