Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Extended Day Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and educational environment for children. Responsibilities: -Monitor students' progress, and assist in resolving any problems. -Assist in planning and monitoring instructional methods and content of educational, vocational, or student activity programs. -Engage in professional development by keeping certifications compliant with state, local, and federal regulations. -Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities -Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. -Provide individualized instruction and support to meet the needs of each child -Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment -Collaborate with other extended day workers to create a cohesive after-school experience Skills: - Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices - Experience in preschool or childcare settings - Ability to teach others how to do something, and to pass along good decision making skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues - Managing one's own time and that of others - Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with young learners -The ability to shift back and forth between two or more activities or sources of information (such as speech, sounds, touch, or other sources). Qualifications: - High School Diploma - Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred) - Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., teaching license, CPR certification) - Previous experience in teaching or tutoring young children We offer competitive compensation based on qualifications and experience.
