Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will provide direct care and support to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities. Your role will involve implementing behavior management strategies, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and documenting progress. Duties: - Implement behavior management techniques and strategies as directed by the behavior analyst or supervisor - Assist individuals with ASD or other developmental disabilities in developing and improving their social, communication, and daily living skills - Collaborate with the behavior analyst or supervisor to develop and implement individualized care plans - Provide support during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and positive environment for clients - Collect data on client progress and behaviors, accurately documenting observations and outcomes - Assist with the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans - Collaborate with other members of the treatment team, including therapists, educators, and caregivers, to ensure consistent implementation of treatment goals - Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to ethical guidelines Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred - Previous experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities is highly desirable - Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles is preferred - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals with special needs - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to analyze behavioral data and make data-driven decisions - Proficiency in medical documentation and record keeping Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required for this role.
