Location: Madelia, MN Position Summary: The Laboratory Assistant will perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, waived testing, and assist with the clerical duties of the laboratory. Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: Minimum of 2 years phlebotomy experience preferred. Certifications: Phlebotomy Specific Tasks & Responsibilities: Verifies patient identification Specimen collection (venipuncture, swabs, etc) May perform waived testing Stocks supplies, rotates supplies, checks inventory Performs proficiency testing when required Helps with clerical duties of the laboratory Participates with department meetings and projects Schedule/Hours: This position would be Monday – Friday 8am-5pm with no weekends, Holidays, or call.
