Technical Specialist, Microbiology Job Description Purpose & Scope: Reporting to the Division Head, the Technical Specialist serves as a technical resource for the department performing routine and specialized patient testing, assuring an efficient, effective, and high quality work process. Serves as a knowledge expert and technical consultant in the specialty area(s). Education: Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology is required. Experience: Laboratory experience in non-waived testing in the designated specialty/subspecialty is required. Certification/Licensure: ASCP Certification is preferred.
