Summary Directs sales and operations for all Building Supply locations by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for all sales and distribution in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by President. Successfully meets Installed Sales Objectives which includes: Responsibility to see that procedures are followed, profitability achieved, contracts approved (changes) and projects completed. Responsible for profitably and growing the ship direct commercial sales division. Responsible for developing a business relationship with top 50 customers. Interviewing and approve all key position applicants. Participate in the management of Accounts Receivables. Negotiate all major purchasing programs to improve year over year Rebate Programs and insure we are purchasing at the lowest cost levels. Reviews sales, quality, performance and inventory reports to determine progress and status in meeting objectives and develop plans to meet these objectives and to maintain profitability. Responsible for all equipment and preventive maintenance in order that the locations are always in first class condition to meet service needs. Responsible for Safety Program and Environmental Program so they meet OSHA and state standards. Takes ownership in staff develop and coaching the production management team, evaluate their performance and initiate plans to enhance their effectiveness. Adhere to strong ethical standard and ensure the operations meet all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Prepares operating budgets, presents them for approval and manages the Division to see that they are attained. They will include sales, expense control, profit and asset management. Prepare all reports on each location that are required by corporate and President. Attend Store sales meetings. Travel required up to 60%. Supervisory Responsibilities Manages all Building Supply locations. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Education and/or Experience Master's degree; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting and inventory software so they read and use data to make decisions and be able to read and use Excel.
