The Residence Inn / SpringHill Suites by Marriott Greenville Downtown is seeking an experienced Breakfast Supervisor. Previous experience as a leader in a similar-sized hotel is required, preferably in a Marriott brand. Competitive pay rate is based on experience. Essential Job Functions Must be able to work in a fast-paced and customer service-oriented environment, perform duties under pressure, and meet deadlines in a timely manner; work as part of a team as well as complete assignments independently; take instructions from the General Manager; exercise problem-solving skills; and interact with co‐workers, the General Manager, guests, and the public in a professional and pleasant manner. Be knowledgeable of all menu items, garnish, contents, and preparation methods. Be prepared to answer any guest questions about the menu in a direct, concise way. Reports all incidents (compliments/complaints) to the General Manager. Check food before serving it to the guest to ascertain that appearance, temperature, and portions are correct. Controls the operation of his/her kitchen. Ensures the proper execution of service between team members. Observe diners to respond to any additional requests. Manages the kitchen efficiently and in a timely manner. Complete opening/closing duties. Performs all duties in a safe manner and monitors the actions of others. Know hotel functions and special events. Responsible for preparing weekly work schedule and placing orders. Must be available for the breakfast hours. Full-time hours available. Experience/Education 2‐3 years of hotel supervisory experience in a Restaurant with similar size and volume; hotel experience preferred.
