Le Sueur Incorporated("LSI"), a portfolio company of Delos Capital, and a leading supplier of complex aluminum castings, machined castings, and plastic injection molded components.
Craft, based in Montrose, MN, is a rapid prototyping and complex metal and plastics component manufacturer. Craft has over 30 years of industry experience and has established itself, along with its skilled employees, as a leader in delivering high-quality parts to customers.
The Position:
Reporting to the EVP of Sales and Marketing, the Business Development Manager is accountable for maintaining key customer accounts and executing growth opportunities aligned with the sales strategy. He / She will proactively communicate across all functions including engineering, operations, scheduling, estimating and finance. The role will be accountable for delivering against profitable growth targets to meet or exceed business plan and support execution against all financial targets relative to the sales and marketing group.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Lead / manage / develop a portfolio of key customers across the business to maintain and grow profitable revenue.
• Apply a thorough understanding of our company's technical capabilities, operational capacity, and market information to influence business plans and strategies.
• Proactively learn customers' processes and pain points to propose solutions based on engineering, prototyping, and manufacturing capabilities.
• Manage customer relationships and gain knowledge of future market and customer needs while developing business growth opportunities.
• Visit customer facilities and coordinate visits at the company's manufacturing sites.
• Participate in development and execution of multi-year growth strategy.
• Leverage industry knowledge and network to break into new lucrative markets.
• Identifying mutually advantageous opportunities for our company and prospective customers alike.
• Identify prospective customers and gather leads from existing clients.
• Actively participating in industry-relevant organizations and attending trade shows and conferences.
• Interface closely with engineering and operations on new and existing products.
• Support team in new product introduction (NPI) schedule and customer communications.
• Participate in stage gate process and ensure follow ups on new product quotes to close deals.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by leveraging professional networks, reviewing trade publications, and attending workshops and industry trade shows.
• Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and credit terms, etc.
• Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates. Involvement in negotiation of purchase contracts, LTA's and MPA's as needed.
• Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
• Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
• Forecast customer volumes based on customer feedback and end market demand.
• Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports.
• Marketing efforts to elevate visibility through the industry.

Education & Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or business administration.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in similar consultative sales roles.
• Strong leadership & communication skills.
• Self-directed leader with a proven track record of growing profitable sales.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master of Business Administration
• Experience with metals casting, metal manufacturing and/or heavy manufacturing, plastics manufacturing.
