Outlet Manager ( Food & Beverage Manager)
POSITION SUMMARY
The Peace Center is a major, nonprofit performing arts center serving a growing and sophisticated audience in Greenville, South Carolina. It is the dominant performing arts center in the state and region. Built on a six-acre campus with an aesthetic mix of new architecture and historic buildings, the campus is at the hub of Greenville’s nationally recognized downtown.
The Peace Center venues include the 2,115-seat Peace Concert Hall, the 400-seat Gunter Theatre, the 1,400-capacity outdoor Peace Pavilion, Genevieve’s Lounge, and the Huguenot Mill which includes two event spaces: the Ramsaur Studio and the Huguenot Loft. Opening in 2025 will be two additional music venues: the 250-seat Mockingbird (a listening room), and the 1,150 capacity Coach Factory (flat floor club).
POSITION SUMMARY
The Outlet Manager is responsible for overseeing all hospitality operations on the current Peace Center campus including but not limited to a 150-seat theater lounge (Genevieve’s) and (5) Lobby concessions, The Outlet Manager is responsible for the recruiting, training, and managing of all F&B Staff.
This person will also play a key role in the pre-opening of our new music venues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES (Include, But Are Not Limited To)
• Oversee the hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of the food & beverage team to provide all aspects of guest service during Genevieve’s restaurant operation, third party rentals, internal events and other occasions as needed.
• Develop staff to ensure high standards of service and efficient operation.
• Maintains facilities’ standards of cleanliness
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and efficient manner
• Serve as POS and Reservation system administrator
• Assist implementing strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and improve service quality.
• Maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Conduct ongoing training of F&B staff to ensure proficiency of programs and service standards.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations. Oversee and enforce best practices for food handling and cleanliness in the dining areas and kitchens.
• Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary to the position.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in the food/beverage and service industry with at least 3 years of supervisory experience
• Bachelor of Science degree in hospitality, hotel/restaurant management is desirable.
• A combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternate.
• Team builder with experience managing & developing staff.
• Refined written and verbal communication skills.
• Pleasant, polite manner for dealing with patrons as well as staff.
