Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Host/Cashier. As a Host/Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor
- Seat guests and provide them with menus
- Take reservations and manage waitlists
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries
- Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area
- Assist servers with various tasks as needed
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing any concerns or issues promptly
- Collaborate with other team members to provide excellent guest service
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a hospitality or food service role is preferred but not required
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well within a team and collaborate effectively
- Basic math skills for cash handling purposes
