Position Summary:
Our growing surgery department is looking for an experienced LPN or Certified Surgical Tech to join our team. As an LPN you would need to be willing to learn the scrub tech duties. We are looking for a detail-oriented person with a desire to provide high quality care to our patients. Must have excellent communication skills.
Qualifications:
• 2 years Scrub or Surgical Tech experience
• Current Minnesota Licensure/Certification (LPN or Surg Tech)
• Basic Life Support Certified
• Background study and pre-employment drug testing required
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.
• Maintain the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure.
• Responsible for procedures related to cleaning, sterilizing, and assembling of equipment, supplies and instruments for use in medical and surgical interventions.
• Prepares and maintains the sterile operating field for the duration of each surgical procedure.
• Assists the surgeon as needed during the intra-operative procedure.
• Assists with room turnover in O.R. suites between cases.
• Performs accurate instrument, sponge, needle, and blade count.
• Performs other duties as assigned
