We are hiring staff for our after-school programs for elementary, middle, and high school aged kids. The title for this position is YOUTH DEVELOPMENT STAFF. This is a part-time job with 25 hours of work per week. The regular schedule for this position is Monday through Friday. Starting pay is $14.50/hour and part-time staff receive 40 hours of paid time off after 90 days of employment.
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT STAFF: Under the supervision of the Unit Director, Youth Development Staff have the responsibility of providing daily programs, services and activities for Boys & Girls Club members ages 5 -18. These services and activities are consistent with the organization's youth development mission, and Youth Development Staff are responsible for developing positive, productive relationships with Club members through guided activities and programs, academic support, and mentorship.

Requirements:
As a part-time staff member at Boys & Girls Club you can expect a regular and reliable schedule with direct oversight and interaction with young people in our community. The ideal candidate will be confident, self-sufficient, and prepared to set a good example for young people. Previous youth development experience preferred, but not required. Excellent candidates include those who are interested in or have had experience in childcare, day care, youth groups, babysitting, kid's programs, mentoring programs, or other child/kid and youth focused activities. Successful candidates must enjoy working with youth to help them achieve academic success, learn to be kind and helpful in the community, and promote a healthy lifestyle. High school diploma or GED required . Must be able to pass both state and federal background checks. This is a physical role with lots of moving around. Applicant must be able to help with homework and plan lessons for their class.
