Job Description
**AECOM** is seeking a Senior Architect to be based in our Roanoke, VA office.
The Senior Architect will be responsible for the following items:
+ Coordinates a team effort to deliver various-sized projects through diverse design and construction phases
+ Will communicate with the Project Manager on the project work plan, deliverables, and schedule
+ Will use their diverse knowledge of architectural principles and practices, building codes, standards, and building construction technologies to develop and deliver quality projects to our clients
+ Will lead integrated design teams of varying sizes to accomplish project delivery from concept through construction document completion and may perform construction administration
+ Ensures communication between project management, project team, consultants, and Client
+ Promotes project delivery through architectural guidance and technically feasible solutions
+ Fosters professional development and mentorship for emerging professionals

**Qualifications** Minimum Requirements: + BA/BS in Architecture or related field plus eight (8) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education + **Licensed Architect** + **US Citizenship** is required for this position Preferred Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (BArch) or Bachelor of Science in Architecture + Master’s degree in Architecture with ten (10) years of relevant experience in design, resolving technical issues, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education + DOD, Higher Education, Municipal and/or Science & Technology experience is preferred + Revit and BIM as well as experience in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, InDesign, Bluebeam, and software such as Rhino, SketchUp, or other visualization tools + Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to cultivate a collaborative environment + Affinity with developing details and experience in construction documents + Ability to be client-facing and lead client discussions and charrettes + Ability to multi-task and be flexible and able to adapt to rapidly changing project requirements and deadlines. + Ability to apply passion and enthusiasm for design in a collaborative and progressive team-oriented work environment **Additional Information** + Relocation is not available for this position + Sponsorship is not available for this position _Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, quali Visit the Employer site for more details.
