Full job description
Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors. As a Camp Counselor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children while creating memorable experiences in a fun and safe camp environment. This is a paid position.
Duties:
- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times
- Plan, organize, and lead various camp activities, including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and games
- Provide guidance and support to campers in their personal growth and development
- Assist with the implementation of behavior management strategies
- Foster a positive and inclusive camp culture
- Collaborate with other staff members to create engaging and age-appropriate programs
- Administer first aid when necessary and ensure the well-being of campers
- Maintain accurate records of camper attendance, incidents, and progress
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children or students in a camp, childcare, or educational setting
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond to emergencies
- Experience in theater, sports coaching, or special education is a plus
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Passion for working with children and helping them grow
- Ability to pass a background check
