Cincinnati Children's Division of Biomedical Informatics “BMI” and the University of Cincinnati Department of Pediatrics Research Faculty Positions
We are recruiting research faculty to join our nation-leading BMI program that aims to transform children's well-being and impact daily lives. We are looking for Assistant/Associate faculty who have demonstrated abilities in teaching and research. Candidates with a strong interest in theoretical algorithmic and/or applied research data and needs in health, prevention, or healthcare, including health equity and diversity, are encouraged to apply.
Research focus areas include, but are not limited to, clinical informatics, informatics for personalized and precision medicine, health data science and machine learning, translations of bioinformatics relating to data and methods into clinical domains, clinical research informatics, digital health informatics, and public health informatics. For example, application areas include machine learning or casual discovery/inference from EHR or other observational clinical data, socioeconomic determinants of health, mobile health data, and/or microbiome or omics data.
Experience/interest in clinical and public health applications in BMI would be advantageous. Prior funding with national funding agencies and recipients of NSF or NIH career awards is desirable.
Requirements:
• MD/ DO PhD equivalent degree or PhD in a related scientific or research field
• Three years of related experience in research field research and/or Lab experience assisting with the preparation of data for presentation at scientific meetings
• Assistant or Associate Professor appointment or eligibility required.
