Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Hospitalist Opportunity
he Cincinnati Children’s is looking for a full-time Bone Marrow Transplant “BMT” Hospitalist to provide supportive care to pediatric and young adult patients admitted to the inpatient units. The applicant does not need an oncology background, but general pediatric trained or med/peds physicians are preferred. The BMT hospitalist will work with the attending BMT physician to provide day-to-day care to patients in the BMT inpatient unit. The hospitalist will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide patients with the best care possible. The Bone Marrow Transplantation and Immune Deficiency Program at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is a national and international pioneer in innovative uses of blood and marrow transplantation. The BMT program has performed over 2200 transplants in the twenty-plus year history of the Blood and Marrow Transplantation Program at Cincinnati Children's. The BMT program is a leader in transplantation for immunodeficiency and histiocytic disorders. Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is one of the top pediatric hospitals in the country and is a leading medical research and teaching hospital. The hospital is also the second highest-ranking recipient of research grants from the National Institutes of Health among pediatric institutions. The work schedule will include day and night shifts as well as weekend and holiday rotations. Cincinnati Children's offers an excellent benefits package, including health, dental, generous PTO allowance, and relocation assistance.
Requirements for eligible applicants:
• MD/DO or equivalent
• Completed a Pediatric, or Med/Peds, or Internal Medicine Residency,
• Able to obtain an unrestricted Ohio Medical License.
Board-certified or Board-Eligible pediatric physicians are preferred.
