The Cincinnati Children's Heart Institute is seeking a highly qualified pediatric cardiologist to join their team of cardiologists. The role will involve providing outpatient services to their Northern Kentucky Cardiology Outpatient Clinics on a full-time basis. This opportunity is ideal for a fellowship-trained pediatric cardiologist.
Cincinnati Children's Heart Institute has over 25 outpatient clinics expanding throughout Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. This expansion allows the institute to provide their expertise to families who may not afford the time or money required for an in-person visit to one of their locations. The institute is ranked as one of the top national pediatric cardiology and heart surgery in all ranked top 10 sub-specialties.
The successful candidate will work closely with The Heart Institute team at Cincinnati Children's, providing complex cardiac care to the entire spectrum of congenital and acquired heart disease. They should possess outstanding interpersonal skills, an MD degree, and be trained in an accredited Pediatric or Med-Peds Residency program or equivalent. Additionally, they should be board-eligible or board-certified in pediatric cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics and eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the states of Ohio and Kentucky.
The institute offers a generous compensation package, including salary, group health, dental, vision, short-term, and long-term disability, life insurance, a defined contribution retirement plan for employees, relocation benefits, 403b retirement savings, tuition assistance CME, and paid time off.
Requirements:
• M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree
• Current active medical license or eligible for medical license in Ohio
• Appropriate medical credentialing through CCHMC Medical Staff Services
• Completion of all HR-required pre-employment activities (screening, background check, badging, and orientation)
• Prior clinical practice experience may be required based on the specific needs of the hiring department.
• Faculty appointment commensurate with training and experience
Preferred:
Board certification or board eligibility in the specialty and/or subspecialty of the position.
If you meet the qualifications and are interested in joining their team, send your letter of interest and curriculum vitae to Michael Gaies, MD, Division Director, Pediatric Cardiology, Executive Co-Director, The Heart Institute, and email your documents to Debbie Mancini.
