Summary
Part time and Full time substitute and floater available for the right person. Monday through Friday,
Hours can vary according to class schedule.. Must be outgoing, active, soft spoken, and reliable.
Must be able to work well with others. Have a passion for children and communicate well with parents.
You must be dependable and have at least 6 months experience in a licensed childcare.
The candidate should be able to teach and take over any class alone, where a regular teacher is absent.
Must also be someone that is a self starter and takes the imitative to create children?s activities without supervision.
Must Follow DSS policy?s and guidelines.
Duties
• Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts..
• Sanitize toys and play equipment.
• Observe and monitor children's play activities.
• Instruct children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits.
• Read to children and teach them simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs.
• Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas.
• Dress children and change diapers..
• Perform housekeeping duties, such as clean room at end of day.
• Maintain a safe play environment.
• Communicate with children's parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues.
• Assist in serving meals and refreshments to children.
• Create developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
• Regulate children's rest periods.
• Be responsible for children.
• File, computer use, organization, scheduling
Requirements
At least 6 months experience in a licensed center.
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
Dependable, trustworthy, Caring,

Must have a passion for children .
