Try new things, learn new skills and discover what you excel at—all from Day One.Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Title/Contested Case Manager will be responsible for partnering with internal business lines, internal law division and external law firms regarding loans with title issues, contested foreclosure actions, and probate actions.  They will provide analytical support in these matters including collaborating with foreclosure counsel on the loans active in foreclosure, as well as hiring legal counsel to ensure U.S. Bank is properly represented on matters where collateral may be affected. The Title/Contested Case Manager performs research, analysis, and maintains well-written case summaries to ensure business line visibility and understanding of the issues at hand. The Title/Contested Case Manager will be comfortable communicating with all levels of management and ensures attorney-client work privilege is always maintained.This role is hybrid. Team members who are in a hybrid role typically spend three days a week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s), while having flexibility on their work location for the other working days.We’re looking for people who want more than just a job – who want to make a difference in the communities where we live and work.  Apply today and explore what’s possible with a career at U.S. Bank.Essential Functions:-Engage default firms to protect U.S. Bank’s interest-Manage cases within the Title/Contested inventory as assigned by Manager-Perform research and analysis of accounts for settlement authority, litigation strategy, and check requests-Monitor legal issue populations with emphasis to resolve issues in timely manner-Escalate any issues that cause liability to the Bank-Participate in conference calls with default firms, partnering business lines, and leadership team-Work various reports to provide insight of loan population to partnering business lines and leadership team-Create and maintain case summaries on each file within populationPreferred Skills/Experience-3-5 years experience in mortgage servicing, with at least some default(foreclosure) servicing experience.-Self Driven and highly motivated-Good verbal, grammatical and written communication skills-Well-developed reading, writing, and mathematical skills-Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously-Proficient PC skills, especially Microsoft Office applications and graphics-Demonstrated administrative skills and acute attention to detail-Strong organization and time management skills-Strong Problem-Solving and analytical skills#CBBO#USBOpsThe role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.If there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.
