The Legal + Risk Management department is looking for an Environmental Intern to join the team at Cambria's Le Sueur, Minnesota location for the Summer of 2024.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Aid Environmental (ENV) Team in implementing an Environmental Management System (EMS), involving developing SOPs and documenting Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
• Review appropriate regulatory standards and incorporate information into existing procedures or develop new procedures to ensure company compliance in documentation.
• Assist ENV Team in training to increase awareness and use of the EHS Management System and deployment of such policies and procedures across designated departments
• Develop and conduct inspections to ensure compliance. Document action items and collaborate with the ENV and Management teams on developing appropriate root cause and corrective actions.
• Support ENV electronic database system and documentation.
• Participate in ENV investigations; contribute towards corrective and preventive actions.
• Discover, develop and implement solutions to improve environmental performance of the organization
Qualifications & Skills:
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and direction
Minimum Requirements:
Education : Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Management, Environmental Studies, or Sustainability at an accredited university. Junior or Senior status preferred.
Systems : Proficient with Google Systems, Microsoft office
Internship Time Period : May 20 - August 9, 2024; 40 hours a week

Travel Requirements: Local travel may be required between Cambria locations
Physical Requirements: Office position requiring telephone and computer use. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds daily. Must be able to stand, bend and twist while performing service work.
