Roanoke Valley ENT & Allergy is a privately held practice and is passionate about offering exceptional adult and pediatric ENT care. We offer individualized care with cutting-edge ENT techniques and on-site diagnostic tools, all designed to ensure patients receive excellent patient experience and relief. Our team is growing and we're looking for a full-time Allergy Injector for immunotherapy treatment (allergy shots.) This is a M-F 8-5 position (no weekends!)
Job Summary:
The Allergy Injector works closely with our providers and Allergy Team, playing a critical role to build and support an exceptional allergy department. The Allergy Injector will be actively involved with patient care and therefore exceptional customer service and patient assessment skills are a must. Your primary role will be providing injections to patients along with the list of responsibilities listed below but there are opportunities to grow within the department!
Responsibilities:
• Manage immunotherapy injection schedule
• Initiate immunotherapy injections
• Conduct new patient start education classes
• Update medical records with treatments
• Scan and assign documents into patients' charts
• Triage allergy patient calls
We are seeking a professional with:
• Experience with providing allergy or alike injections ( MA, LPN, RN degrees will be considered - we are looking for the right person & will invest in training! )
• A patient-focused work ethic
• Leadership and teamwork skills
• Demonstrated, successful organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• The ability to effectively and proactively communicate, both verbally and in writing, in support of appropriately informing patients, staff, and surgeons timely
• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with team members, external representatives, distributors, vendors, etc.
• The desire and ability to learn new technology including but not limited to EMR and scheduling software
• The experience and skills to work in a medical office
