Position title
APQP Specialist
Position description
The APQP Specialist is responsible for creating documentation, driving improvement, tracking trials and validating products.
Position responsibilities
• Help APQP Engineer with New Project meetings planning for future products.
• Follow up project action plans, supporting APQP Engineer on project management related activities.
• Prepare product related documents for formatting, archive and confidentiality.
• Complete necessary documentation: Work Instructions, Procedures, Action Plans, Product Validation, Engineering Change Request.
• Promote and support continuous improvement of the production line; suggesting new ideas to increase capacity and quality standards.
• Work directly with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Maintenance personnel to determine resolution for part quality issues.
• Follow product trials, keep containment of trial parts, and prepare materials to ship.
• Must be willing to step in and help where needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Education
Prefer an Associates but related work experience will be considered.
Experience
Minimum 1 years of work experience with production facility processes and equipment.
Knowledge / skills
• Experience determining root cause and corrective action for quality defects (equipment, process, mold, etc.)
• Ability to communicate well with all levels of the team: Management, Engineering, Quality, Supervisors, Technicians, and Operators.
• Experience making training documents, power points, and excel sheets.
• Ability to communicate and negotiate individually and as part of a team.
• Must be very organized as you will have to juggle multiple task in one day
• Experience with lean manufacturing concepts
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Willing to learn new skills and teach others.

Languages
English
Computer skills
Must be very strong using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook. SAP experience preferred.
