Under the supervision of the Manager of Client Services, provides holistic, comprehensive services to OASIS residential clients, nonresidential clients, and their children.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Under supervision of the Manager of Client Services conducts planned children's activities.
Reinforces positive parenting and responsible supervision of children.
Works closely with Counselor/Advocates and Youth Advocacy Counselor to meet the needs of family case management.
Coordinates and conducts age appropriate groups for children and parents.
Provides information, referral, crisis intervention and advocacy for children who are program participants.
Works with the supervisor to incorporate practicum students and volunteers into the children’s program.
Assists clients and their children in establishing a safety plan, identifying goals, and locating resources to achieve them.
Provides individual and group counseling services for OASIS clients and their children as outlined in the ZeroV Victim Service Standards.
Provides services to promote family self-sufficiency.
Coordinates client needs with appropriate staff.
Responds to crisis calls; provides information and referrals as needed.
Completes client intakes, assessments and exits according to OASIS Policies and Procedures.
Maintains daily contact sheet and other documentation as required.
Maintains client files as outlined in OASIS Policies and Procedures.
Provides information, referrals, crisis intervention and advocacy services for program participants.
Documents and makes appropriate reports to the Cabinet for Health and Family Services
Attends case reviews, in-services, trainings and staff meetings as assigned.
Performs public speaking duties; represents agency in community or interagency activities.
Maintains a county resource directory.
Facilitates client entries to campus and provides follow-up client services upon exit.
May assist with care of children in the childcare area when needed.
Transfers phone lines to campus when office is unattended.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree with 3-5 years’ experience working with children.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, financial reports, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations and legal documents. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, clients, fellow employees, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts of basic math and algebra.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must meet certification standards as outlined by the ZeroV as directed by supervisor.
Must hold or be able to obtain a valid Kentucky Driver's License.
