JOB GOAL: To serve students and staff by assisting the school principal in facilitating a positive and productive learning environment
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Hold the Postgraduate Professional License with an endorsement as an elementary school principal.
• Have had at least three years of successful experience in public education.
• Successfully fostered a collaborative environment by effectively communicating with students, school personnel, and the community in both elementary and middle school settings.
PERFORMANCE DUTIES:
• To facilitate student behavior support.
• To monitor, respond to, and communicate student attendance concerns with families.
• To act as the school's site testing coordinator.
• To assist the principal in implementing, supervising and assessing the total school instructional program.
• To assist the principal in the selection, assignment, orientation, and evaluation of staff.
• To assist the principal in supervising extracurricular activities, including after-school functions.
• To assist the principal in developing a master schedule.
• To supervise and coordinate staff non-primary duty assignments.
• To assist the principal in the school's safety, security, and environmental control programs.
• To assist the principal in coordinating programs and services supplementary to the instructional programs.
• To perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the superintendent.
• Discharges all responsibilities and fulfills all obligations as specified in the contract, policies, and guidelines of the Floyd County School Board.
