Recovery Coaches serve to provide supportive therapeutic communication techniques with recovery participants. They support and encourage participants as they develop a mentor relationship and provide information, classes, and resources (internal/external). They model the life of Christian living through recovery.
Reports to: Director of Recovery
Hours of Availability:  Tuesday - Saturday 9:00a -5:00p
Compensation : DOE

• Demonstrates a genuine interest in the safety and well-being of our guests and team members.
• Understanding of volunteer engagement and ability to utilize and appreciate volunteers in daily tasks.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to work as scheduled to include holidays and weekends as assigned.
• Strong listening, as well as written & verbal communication skills to execute instructions, keep others informed and exhibit professionalism.
• Demonstrated attention to detail/strong organizational skills to assist with multiple daily assignments and special projects.
• Ambitious to exceed expectations.

• Ability to be an encourager and support individuals seeking recovery from addiction
• Providing recovery services while maintain professional boundaries
• Ability to network with other divisions and other organizations
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Career Summary (not all-inclusive list):
Recovery Coaches are responsible for a holistic approach to recovery and development which includes physical, psychological, and spiritual. Duties include intake interviews, schedule appointments, conduct class sessions, provide resources both internal and external, observe and document progress.
A successful candidate is able to hold the participants accountable in the process of establishing and maintaining professional boundaries while developing long lasting relationships (mentor role).
All team members may be asked to complete other duties as assigned by the leadership/management with an expectation to complete these assignments as requested.
Physical demands essential to performing the job duties of this position (not an all-inclusive list ).
• Prolonged periods of communicating with others to exchange information; verbally and/or electronically
• Occasional periods of physical activity sitting and/or standing
• Occasional periods of standing, stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling objects up to 50 pounds
• Frequent computer use; computer screen exposure
• Lift up to 50 pounds; not typically repetitive
• Temperatures may vary depending on activity/events; indoor/outdoor exposure
• Noise levels may vary depending on activity/event and/or location
• Frequent - Moving around to accomplish a task
• Frequent – exposure to cleaning general chemicals
