Title: Psychology Practitioner State Role Title: 49211 Hiring Range: Commiserate With Experience Pay Band: 5 Agency: Dept Behavioral Health/Develop Location: Catawba Hospital Agency Website: https://www.catawba.dbhds.virginia.gov/ Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties Catawba Hospital, a 116-bed Joint Commission-accredited psychiatric facility located near Roanoke, Virginia, in the Blue Ridge mountains, is seeking a full-time psychology associate to provide comprehensive assessment and treatment services for adults ages 18-geriatric, including individual and group therapy. Whether you are a senior clinician or newer to the field, this is an opportunity to develop your skills in interdisciplinary consultation and to forge your unique path as a clinical leader in a friendly, professional atmosphere where psychology staff are valued members of the clinical teams and where excellent relationships exist among professional disciplines. We offer extensive continuing education opportunities in state-of-the-art practices in mental health care, geriatrics, forensics, and general clinical psychology; opportunities to teach medical students; and opportunities to participate creatively in program evaluation and development. Minimum Qualifications Doctoral degree in psychology or counseling psychology from an accredited college/university Professional experience with at least some autonomous functioning in a mental health setting with a broad program of interdisciplinary treatment is expected. Additional Considerations Licensed Clinical Psychologist preferred. Experience serving persons with adult and/or geriatric populations with severe mental illness, cognitive impairments, forensics, intellectual disabilities, and/or behavioral programming is preferable but not required.
