VA DCJS # 11-20666 Our work environment includes: Growth opportunities Duties: - Conduct regular patrols to prevent and detect any signs of intrusion or suspicious activity - Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances - Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and employees with any security-related concerns or inquiries - Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises - Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of all security-related activities Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Proven experience as a security officer or in a related field is preferred - Strong observation skills and attention to detail - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations - Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism - Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening - VA DCJS Registration (Required) - DCJS Armed Registration (Required) Note: Loss prevention experience is a plus, but not required for this position.
