As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and quality of life for our residents in assisted living and senior care facilities. ```Responsibilities``` - Provide direct care and support to residents, following individualized care plans - Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting - Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals - Monitor and document changes in residents' health or behavior - Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed - Ensure the safety and security of residents at all times - Promote resident rights and maintain confidentiality of resident information - Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as nurses, to coordinate care ```Skills``` To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills: - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals - Compassion and empathy towards individuals requiring care - Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and medication administration - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment - Knowledge of DODD assisted living principles Please note that prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
