Position Summary The Talent Acquisition Coordinator supports the team of recruiters with evaluating talent and processing and preparing candidates for onboarding. The coordinator ensures a smooth and efficient recruiting and hiring process through coordination with hiring managers, conducting candidate screenings, scheduling interviews, and maintaining various candidate communication channels. The coordinator will serve as a support backup for our internship program and will support various talent acquisition initiatives, processes, and systems. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and organizational skills. Duties/Responsibilities Support the recruitment process by sourcing candidates, screening resumes, some initial candidate screenings, and scheduling interviews. Coordinate in-person interviews, including preparing interview materials. Assist in maintaining candidate database(s) (employment inbox, evergreen requisitions, respond to social media inquiries, etc.). Assists with timely communication with candidates. Represent company and community at career fair events as needed. Initiate the onboarding process for new employees. May assist with managing talent programs such as reference checks, job profile updates, offer letter templates upkeep, and maintenance of applicant database(s). May take on some field/craft requisitions. Assist with scheduling candidate and recruiter travel. Duties/Responsibilities Cont. Scheduling job/career fairs. Participates in planning and strategizing future workforce needs. May assist with small-scale training of hiring managers on the hiring process, navigation of the system, how to access SOP’s and other talent resources. Supports the Talent Acquisition Manager with various tasks/projects as needed. This position may serve as a back up to HR Coordinators who support other life cycle events, such as onboarding, offboarding or other employee transactions as needed. Qualifications Associate degree in human resources or related field; bachelor’s degree preferred. 1-3 years of Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or other administrative/coordinator experience Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Attention to detail and with strong organizational skills. Ability to accomplish tasks with minimum supervision. Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to adjust priorities as needed. Adaptable to change. Ability to work well with diverse audiences, ranging from entry-level to managers and executives, both internally and externally. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. However, some overnight travel throughout VA and NC to various career fairs and community events is anticipated, as well as some visits to jobsites. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This is largely a sedentary role; however, due to the nature of career fairs, there is walking, carrying, and lifting items up to 25 pounds.
