Full job description
Looking for a Male Caregiver to look after a patient in the Cheviot area Wednesday-Sunday from 7a-3p
Duties:
- Provide personal care and assistance to patients in their homes
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare provider
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment as needed
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals
- Document patient care activities and observations accurately and timely
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Requirements:
-A good attitude
- Experience working in home healthcare or a similar setting is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with tube feeding, hospice care, dementia care, catheter care, and medication administration
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to help others
- Ability to work independently and follow directions accurately
- Reliable transportation to travel to patients' homes
