How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:
Provides leadership and direction for resource staffing and throughput throughout Carilion Clinic. Oversees, guides, directs, and manages all staffing processes across the enterprise in collaboration with the regional facilities, ancillary departments, and clinics. Collaborates across the organization to ensure optimal staffing and patient outcomes.
Responsible for all aspects of Nursing Support Services and clinical staffing and productivity across the enterpise. Responsible for planning, developing, communicating, implementing, and maintaining the mission, vision, and strategic system goals and objectives for staffing across the organization.
• Manages multiple, complex and potentially large departments, as well as designated administrative and support staff to assure cost effectiveness and achievement of goals and budgets
• Plans the implementation of directives, standard policies and procedures and protocols as approved by senior management or the board of directors.
• Recognizes and acts upon opportunities for growth and improvement to advance goals of the organization. Utilizes project management principles to accomplish goals, seeks out appropriate resources, and proactively anticipates changes within the market.
• Strategically plans for growth, staffing, services, educational opportunities and effective performance improvement in collaboration with Human Resources.
• Facilitates professional growth and development including orientation in service programs and effective performance improvement systems.
• Responsible for operational goals, plans and fiscal management including budget development, implementation and monitoring for multiple departments.
• Responsible for supporting service line mission and meeting goals and scorecard objectives utilizing a system approach. Aligns work with strategic goals. Responsible for assuring compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies.
• Responsible for compliance with applicable regulatory, licensure and accrediting standards where applicable
What We Require:
Education: BSN required. Master's required.
Experience: 5-7 years experience in management, preferably health care environment, demonstrating increased and/or diversified responsibility for related services
Licensure, certification, and/or registration:
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Licensure and/or certification in medical or management related discipline.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Advanced leadership, planning and organizational skills to manage multiple and potentially large, complex departments and to direct the successful completion of initiatives and achievement of fiscal goals. Demonstrated interpersonal and communication abilities to support and promote a respectful, inclusive culture of service excellence. Proven skills in clinical, operational and human resource management, including staffing, planning, performance management, team work and process improvement. Statistical analysis and fiscal management skills. Must possess strong project management skills and take initiative to improve processes in an autonomous enviroment. Infuencing change witin diverse multipdiscpolary teams across the enterprise.
