Overview:
As the Sales Director, you will lead and drive the sales strategy, overseeing a team dedicated to selling high-value machinery and equipment to clients across various industries. Your primary objective will be to expand market presence, drive revenue growth, and foster strong client relationships.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development: Create and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company objectives, targeting specific markets, industries, and clientele for capital equipment sales.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a sales team, providing guidance, support, and direction to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
Market Expansion: Identify and explore new business opportunities, forging partnerships and expanding the client base to drive revenue growth.
Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Sales Performance Analysis: Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze data, and implement improvements to enhance sales effectiveness and efficiency.
Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with the marketing, product development, and operations teams to align sales strategies with product enhancements and market demands.
Forecasting and Budgeting: Develop sales forecasts, manage budgets, and set realistic targets in line with company objectives.
Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for large-scale contracts, ensuring favorable terms and mutually beneficial agreements.
Sales Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports, providing insights and recommendations to the executive team.
Compliance and Ethics: Ensure sales operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or related field; MBA preferred.
MUST Have experience in the plastics industry
Proven track record of success in capital equipment sales, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership/senior sales role.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, fostering a high-performance sales culture.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales performance metrics and drive improvements.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.
Strategic thinking and a demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
