Full job description
We are hiring Press Brake Operators in Roanoke, VA!
Hours:
Monday-Friday 6am-3pm (leave at lunch on Fridays!)
OR
Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
Pay: $16-$21/hr
Essential Functions:
• Setting up and operating press brakes to bend and form materials
• Utilizing technical drawings, written instructions and verbal instructions to produce dimensionally correct parts; performing secondary processes while the machine is running
• Testing and setting up tooling in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations to eliminate damage and ensure quality of parts; selecting and using proper dies and tooling
• Loading and unloading materials and parts from conveyors, racks, tables, carts, pallets, baskets and boxes
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Other Requirements:
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to read prints and drawings.
• Math skills (adding, subtracting) and knowledge of fractions and decimal equivalents. Familiarity with a manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
• Prior experience with metal working machinery and/or trade school or shop experience preferred.
