Responsibilities:
Customer Satisfaction:
• Provides and promotes exceptional customer sales and service for internal and external customers according to Goodwill standards.
• Responds to customer inquiries (calls/voicemails, emails/tickets, and feedback ratings/reviews) in a timely and courteous manner.
• Leads/directs and monitors customer communications to ensure we are delivering prompt, courteous, and consistent “world class” customer service and product delivery.
• Works to resolve customer dissatisfaction issues; seeks assistance from manager on duty when necessary.
Production Operations:
• Supervises all aspects of the production areas engaged in receiving, processing/listing, and order fulfillment of donated merchandise.
• Ensures that daily productivity goals are met in all areas and reports deficiencies to the Manager.
• Oversees quality and quantity of goods going to online marketplaces. Conducts regular audits of inventory and employee performance for quality assurance.
• Appraises/Approves and prices questionable SGW items with the intent of maximizing sales while protecting marketplace standings and the Goodwill brand.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and secure environment and ensures the production work floor is organized, clean, and productive according to Goodwill standards.
• Performs work and/or provides support and supervision to all E-Commerce operations as needed or directed.
• Monitors level of inventory and supplies required for operation and communicates needs to management in a timely manner.
• Reviews sales and product/inventory levels and monitors marketplaces in each department to identify areas of opportunity.
• Oversees unsellable merchandise ensuring all inventory is being purged properly.
• Maintains knowledge of sales trends.
• Maintains safety and maintenance of equipment.
• Submits questionable items requiring professional appraisal to Manager.
• Safeguards valuables and reports any incidents of theft to Manager, or Sr. Manager, or Director immediately.
• Ensures proper submission of nightly service request in order to notify the logistics department of product/container transportation needs.
People Management:
• Supports teamwork atmosphere. Drives positive reinforcement and motivation to all employees.
• Ensures compliance of employees with established safety, policies, procedures, security, sales, productivity and record keeping procedures and practices.
• Assists with interviewing and training of employees.
• In the absence of the Manager, directs staffing and training, monitors and records issues, and provides input to Manager regarding employee performance.
• Works with Manager to hold employees accountable through recommended coaching and corrective action for repeat deficiencies.
Safety/Compliance and Housekeeping:
• Responsible password holder of online marketplaces and resources.
• Ensures timely and correct submission of incident/accident reports to the appropriate departments.
• Regularly reviews SOP’s and training documents and provides input to Manager.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment. Assures that work floor is organized, clean and productive following E-Commerce operation standardizations and cleaning schedules.
• Opens and closes the E-Commerce operation on time and in a safe manner for all opening and closing staff.
• Is designated as a responsible key holder of the E-Commerce operation.
• As assigned, conducts safety meetings monthly or as required.
• Monitors safety and compliance records with current posting. Performs required safety drills and accident procedures in the absence of Manager or as assigned.
• Ensures that all items that are considered prohibited are removed and disposed of properly.
• Stays current with prohibited items for all marketplaces.
• Ensures we are providing our employees and visitors with a safe environment and reports area(s) in need of maintenance to Manager.
• Attends safety, leadership, and team meetings as required and completes all required training in a timely manner.
• Must be able to supervise and delegate work to employees while performing job duties.
General Duties:
• Identifies rare, collectible and/or unique items which will generate online sales and separate donations per established procedures into categories that include SGW, eBay, NeatOScan (books/media), bale/salvage, processed, and discarded items.
• Demonstrates adaptability.
• Work habits should include regular attendance, punctuality, teamwork, initiative, willingness to learn, dependability, promptness and awareness of productivity and sales goals.
• Maintains positive, professional and courteous behavior at all times; addresses and/or reports unprofessional behavior of others to Manager promptly.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with a minimum of six months of management experience, supervisory experience and/or training experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and web-based programs desired.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to type a minimum of 20 WPM. Detail-oriented. Computer confidence, specifically with online search engines, online auction sites, and other popular shopping sites (i.e., Amazon.com) is preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
• Must be able to successfully complete State background investigation and drug screen.
• First Aid (training provided by GIV)
• CPR (training provided by GIV)
• Valid State of Virginia driver’s license and proof of insurance required to drive personal car on company business. Additionally, an acceptable motor vehicle record based on Goodwill guidelines is required to drive a company vehicle or transport program participants.
