Position Summary
The County Extension Program Assistant position will perform duties necessary to assist the county extension4-H agent in the day to day conduct of programs. Duties will include answering phone calls and helping 4-H assignments.

• Strong organizational and other soft-skills, working knowledge of office practices and procedures.
• Ability to use independent judgment and discretion with confidential information.
• Works with limited supervision.

• Pack and move boxes, handle equipment, load, and unload vehicles.

Duties/Responsibilities
Duties/Responsibilities
• Assist in facilitation of the County 4-H Program. Assist 4-H'ers in preparation for 4-H competitive events including project achievement, judging teams, etc.
• Transport or arrange for transportation of 4-H'ers to various district and state level events and if assigned, provide leadership for youth while attending these events, which could be overnight, weekend, and/or week-long camps and activities.
• Assist with recruitment, utilization, and retainment of volunteers to run various programs. Work with 4-H Agent to incorporate the results of program evaluations and feedback in planning future programs and techniques used in implementing programs.

• Help Implement Youth Educational Programs
• Work extensively with youth by conducting in-school and after-school 4-H meetings and specialty clubs.
• Maintain hours to assist 4-H Agent with programming and conduct day to day operations.
• Assist with creating information for clientele with access to Extension resources and services including newsletters, flyers, other printed publications, online and social media content, and other educational materials as need for the 4-H Program.
