CNC Machine Operators needed in Athens, GA
Day Shift & Night Shift available 5AM-5PM or 5PM-5AM
To be considered for this position you MUST have at least 1 year of machine operating experience preferably CNC, and you MUST know how to read blue prints and sketches, and have experience using micrometers and calipers.

Essential Job Functions & Skills
• Set up and operation of CNC equipment throughout the manufacturing process.
• Review of shop orders, programs, and cutter list for accuracy prior to production.
• Loads tools and initiates cycle start after tool changes.
• Monitors fail safe motion.
• Accurate input of Shop Order bar-coding.
• Monitors machine status and federate signs.
• Inspects for worn or damaged tooling.
• Loads/Unloads material.
• Verifies set-up book instructions agree with the work being performed.
• Follows through with actions requested by supervisor.
• Searches program for correct line/block number to cycle start.
• Loads or remove fixtures for set-up.
• Checks program and cutter list data in machine.
• Inspects and documents in-process check sheets.
• Verifies attendants actions.
• Loads programs and input data.
• Maintain area relative to housekeeping.
• Troubleshoots program, tools, fixture, and machine problems when nonconformity occur.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Math Skills: Good math skills will help machine operators understand complex instructions, how schematics work and make sure items are designed and built correctly.
• Problem Solving Skills:Machine operators will need to know why machines are not at peak performance, how to increase output and how to fix errors.
• Attention to Detail: machine operators will work with precision equipment. Being off by millimeters could be a critical error. Keen attention to detail is required.
• Mechanical and Technical Skills: Machines controlled by computers will need operators who understand CAD/CAM technology.
• Stamina: machine operators often work long hours doing repetitive movements.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
• Ability to accurately gauge lengths of time and distance
• Ability to concentrate
• Ability to cope with sudden changes in surrounding and/or emergency situations and/or alarms
