OB TITLE: General Laborer
LOCATION: New River Valley
REPORTS TO: Foreman
FLSA: Hourly/Nonexempt
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for helping with all aspects of the assigned projects.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.
• Responsible for interior and exterior demolition, clean up, and construction for residential homes
• Perform with quality workmanship
• Complete assigned tasks and projects in a timely manner
• Perform work safely and keep a clean job site
• Serve as a trusted and knowledgeable representative of the company
• Erect, climb and work on scaffolding and ladders at heights up to 40 feet above ground level
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NECESSARY:
• Must be in good physical condition with ability to crawl, climb and lift materials and tools as necessary
• Proven ability to lift and carry at least 80 pounds
• Must be dependable and timely
• Must maintain a professional and respectful tone on all job sites
• Experienced using a wide variety of hand and power tools
• Ability to troubleshoot and find resolution with day-to-day assigned tasks
• Proven ability to be self-motivated and work with a sense of urgency
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Proven ability to interpret work orders and to perform basic mathematical calculations
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma, or equivalent, required
• 1+ years of experience in residential construction required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must have reliable transportation and personal hand tools
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
