Beginning Pay $25.00+ (depending on experience)
We are looking to hire a detail-oriented HVAC Service Technician to maintain and repair HVAC systems for our Athens location. You will be responsible for performing maintenance, warranty, and emergency repairs. To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, safety, and comfort should be your top priority. Ideal candidates will be patient, have strong communication skills, and have excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.
Responsibilities:
• Maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
• Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Recording daily invoices and records of all maintenance functions.
• Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements.
• Assisting with customers' queries.
• Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
• Collecting payment and customer references as needed.
Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays if needed (on rotation).
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop, and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to pass DMV check
Skills Desired:
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
• Proficient in balancing air flow.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in wiring schematics.
Certifications Desired:
• High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent.
• + year experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field.
• EPA certification (preferred, but not required)
• OSHA 10 certification (preferred, but not required)
Position Details:
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm, plus overtime opportunity
