As a Health Information Technician, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining medical records in a healthcare setting. This is an important role that ensures accurate and confidential patient information is properly documented and accessible when needed. ```Duties:``` - Organize and maintain patient medical records in both electronic and paper formats - Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of patient information - Review medical records for completeness and accuracy, identifying any missing or inconsistent information - Assign appropriate codes to diagnoses and procedures for billing and reimbursement purposes - Retrieve patient records as requested by healthcare providers or authorized personnel - Input and update patient information into electronic health record systems - Follow all relevant regulations and guidelines related to health information management - Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation of patient care ```Qualifications:``` - Associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field (or equivalent experience) - Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology - Familiarity with medical office procedures and practices - Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other health information management software - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for maintaining accurate medical records, we encourage you to apply for the position of Health Information Technician.
