Payroll Administrator
Job Description:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the preparation and processing of payroll for the company. This position will be responsible for the following:
• Processes payroll related documents, such as W-2’s, paychecks, time cards, and tax forms.
• Processes employee payroll information into an electronic system to be used for payroll processing.
• Prepares timecards and time sheets for employees.
• Prepares time sheets for new hires.
• Prepares new hire forms and time sheets.
• Prepares employee payroll reports and reports.
• Assists with various payroll related projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The candidate must possess the following qualifications or equivalent:
·High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
·Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and Timberline.
·Knowledge of basic accounting principles, including payroll processing. Knowledge of basic payroll software is a plus (i.e., Sage 100, Paychex, Paycor).
·Must be able to type at least 50 words per minute on a keyboard.
·Must have strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
·Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
·Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently to complete tasks assigned.
·Ability to work under pressure while maintaining calm and professionalism at all times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
