Perform microbial analyses and tests required for quality control of processes or products and provides support for divisional research and development. Ensures that all activities comply with organization goals and applicable regulations. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES: Responsible for controlling and assuring quality. Sampling and testing products for microbial contamination. Proficiency in testing all customer methods for microbial contamination. Perform investigations and process NCMR (Non-conforming material results) Test raw materials, bulk and finished products for microbial contamination. Test water samples for microbial quality. Inventory and ordering of media, broths and supplies required for testing. Stocking refrigerators and unloading packages. Receiving in samples for testing. Perform growth promotion of received media and both. Assist with housekeeping responsibilities and customer audits. Suitability testing to determine dilution factor information. Oversees microbial tests and release of raw materials, in process and finished products, bulk and packaged according to established customer procedures and specifications. Other duties and/or projects necessary for the position. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) required in area of discipline. At least 5 years' experience in field or related area Must have the ability to read, write and perform basic math. Must read and speak English.
