Job Details: Job Title: Electrical Assembler Location: 1700 Blue Hills Drive, N.E. Roanoke VA 24012 Position: 12 Months temp to hire Shift: 1st Shift (5 am to 1:30 pm) Pay Rate: $ 16/Hr. Job Description: Responsible for working on a production line by ensuring that all processes are completed effectively and efficiently and ready to be handed to the next member of the team. Time management, reading technical documents, and having the ability to identify quality control issues are a must. Duties and Responsibilities Lift material onto machines, manually or with a hoist. Document production numbers on a board at the station.. Review purchase orders with manufacturing details, design specifications, and assembly instructions to ensure work is performed according to specifications. Cut and strip wires according to specifications. Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using pneumatic drills, drivers, rivets, bolts, glue, soldering or micro-welding equipment. Position, align, or adjust workpieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly. Pack finished assemblies for shipment and place on pick up line for distribution using tape dispenser and safety box cutter. Fabricate, assemble, or disassemble manufactured products by hand. Read testing devices to ensure the quality of the product. Shovel, sweep, or otherwise clean workstations. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Must be able to lift up to 40lbs. Remain standing for an extended period of time up to 8 hours Able to perform with constant movement of the arms Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary Salary: $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Application Question(s): Experience with electrical or electronics assembly.
